Wrenli ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and your family's data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service").

By using Wrenli, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you have questions, reach us at privacy@wrenli.com.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details (email address) when you sign up
  • Baby profile information (name, date of birth, gender)
  • Tracking data you log: feedings, sleep, diapers, growth measurements, milestones, medications, and doctor visits
  • Photos and captions you add to memories
  • Messages you send to the Wrenli AI assistant — these are stored server-side, scoped to your account, and retained for as long as your account is active so that the AI can reference your conversation history for personalized responses. Messages are not shared across accounts and are deleted when you delete your account.
  • Notes and journal entries

Information collected automatically

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version and crash reports
  • General usage analytics (screens visited, feature usage frequency)

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, or any information from your device beyond what is needed to operate the Service.

Health information

Wrenli collects and stores health-related data you enter about your child, including growth measurements (height, weight, head circumference), medication logs, symptoms, and records of pediatric or doctor visits. This information is entered voluntarily by you, is scoped to your account, and is stored securely in Cloudflare D1 with encryption at rest. Health information is accessible only to you and to family members you explicitly invite to your account. We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising, and we do not transfer it to third parties except the processors listed in Section 5 that are required to operate the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the Service, including AI-powered insights and predictions
  • Personalize your experience based on your baby's age and developmental stage
  • Generate smart recommendations (e.g., SmartNap nap time predictions)
  • Sync your data across devices and with family members you invite
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets)
  • Analyze aggregate, de-identified trends to improve our features

We will never use your data to serve ads or build advertising profiles.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure using their D1 database and R2 object storage services. All data is encrypted at rest and transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.3).

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encrypted data storage at rest
  • Secure authentication via Clerk with email-based verification codes
  • JWT-based session tokens with automatic expiration and rotation
  • Rate limiting to prevent abuse
  • Regular security reviews of our codebase

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to promptly addressing any vulnerabilities. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.

4. Children's Privacy

Wrenli is designed for parents and caregivers, not for use by children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

The baby-related information stored in Wrenli (name, age, feeding logs, etc.) is entered by and controlled by the parent or caregiver, not the child. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at privacy@wrenli.com and we will promptly delete it.

5. Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers who are necessary to operate Wrenli:

  • Cloudflare — Infrastructure, database hosting, content delivery, and security
  • Clerk — Authentication and account management
  • Anthropic — AI assistant responses (your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate helpful parenting insights; Anthropic does not use your data to train models)
  • Google — AI assistant responses for certain features (your messages may be sent to Google's Gemini API to generate helpful parenting insights; Google does not use your data to train models when accessed through its paid API)
  • RevenueCat — Subscription and billing management
  • Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting (collects diagnostic information such as stack traces, device type, OS version, and app version to help us detect and fix bugs; does not receive your tracking data, photos, or AI messages)

Each provider processes data only as needed to perform their specific function and is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and your baby's tracking data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you or your family may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement purposes.

When you delete your account, we also forward deletion requests to our data processors — Anthropic, Google, Clerk, RevenueCat, Sentry, and Cloudflare — where applicable under our data processing agreements, so your data is removed from their systems as well.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of all data we hold about you and your family
  • Delete — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Export — Download your data in a portable format
  • Correct — Update or correct any inaccurate information
  • Restrict — Ask us to limit how we process your data

California & US State Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used, delete your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information and have never done so.

Residents of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Texas (TDPSA), and other states with consumer privacy laws have similar rights under their respective statutes. We honor all applicable state privacy rights uniformly — you do not need to identify which law applies. Contact privacy@wrenli.com to exercise any of these rights.

International Users

Wrenli is a US-based service and is not currently targeted at users in the European Union or United Kingdom. If you are located outside the US, please be aware that your data is processed and stored in the United States. By using Wrenli, you consent to this transfer. 8. Cookies

The Wrenli mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (wrenli.com) uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

For material changes — such as new data sharing practices or changes to your rights — we will notify you in-app and ask you to acknowledge the updated policy before continuing to use the Service. Minor clarifications or formatting changes may take effect immediately.
